Tiny, gentle, precious.
Soft, strong, quiet.
These little gifts,
Hidden treasures,
Float down from Heaven
In silence.

We have been outside collecting beautiful snowflakes on our coats. In all my days I have never seen such perfect snowflakes. We just don't get them this good in Oklahoma! They actually looked like these photos! Amazing.

Out here in West Oklahoma, they looked more like little balls of styrofoam!

Any kind of snow is welcome moisture....we are tired of it, but it's still moisture.

I heard an amazing comment from one of my college students today. She's from South Texas and hasn't really seen snow until moving to Oklahoma. She said she was so excited yesterday because she finally saw "real" snowflakes. She called her mom to tell her that they really did look like the ones she had seen in Bible class many years ago. I'm not sure if they had Bible lessons about snowflakes (?) or just about the wonder of our Creator. Maybe they made some paper snowflakes during class time. Anyway, it was a surprising reaction from a 19-year-old. She finally knows that real snowflakes DO look like the pictures!
