Generation Gaff
When I'm online I keep getting this message which says, "IEXPLORE.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. An error log has been created." Then the internet closes down on me. So, I ran my virus checks, spyware checks and emptied the cookie jar. None of that helped. If I can find the error log, I can't imagine how it would help. Any suggestions? (Note, it has never shut down while I'm working on my blog.)

Emptying the cookie jar wont help.
It requires Doritos to get the job done properly. A little ice cream might help but doritos - nacho cheese - guaranteed to fix anything.

My advice: Download and install FireFox. It's free, it's stable, and it's got some great features that IE doesn't have.

Otherwise, you may need to reinstall the latest version of IE, which you can download from Microsoft's website.

I think I'll hire Anne as my technology wizard since she uses words I can understand (such as Doritos and cheese).

I do my patches weekly, and I did them yesterday, so I'm up to date on that stuff. I did not download IE, though. (I"m guessing IE= internet explorer).

I'll do Firefox, but I have a question first. Will I lose my favorites list?

Dan can tell you how to move your favorites to Firefox easily. He did it for me. That's how I got here!

Did you also do a Adware/Spyware check? You should go get "Adaware" and "Spybot Search and Destroy". Both are free. Some spyware does effect IE. But like you have seen above. Switch to Firefox.
