I found this photo on the net and wondered if anyone knows if this was the original Beverly's in Oklahoma City (famous for Chicken in the Rough). Seems as if Charles said the original was at 23rd and Classen. Charles?

(I have a sugar packet from 1956 here).

The very first Beverly's was on Lincoln north of the Capitol; it was built in 1921, long before this style of architecture was adopted.

This store may not even have been local; at its peak, the chain had about 250 franchised locations, and of the four I recall here in the city (there were six), none of them quite looked like that. (One is still open, on Northwest Distressway west of Pennsylvania.)
