hmmmmmm. I'm guessing you're right about that...but.....hmmmm.
Well, lovely wife seems quite happy, so maybe it would have worked out for us to be siblings. I'm sure it would have been adventuresome and weird, though.
And the unspoken part of your sentence is that you would have been the adventuresome part, leaving me with.... well, just leaving me would have been enough.
