My sister wears some tops like that sometimes and I hardly think of her as a "street-wise, beer-slinging wench".
Oh well...I guess to each their own!!!

Well, I CAN see the belly button of the girl on the left and they are wearing too much makeup and look way too sexy for 13-year-old girls. That's what I have trouble with. Britty, your sister never looks like any kind of wench, I am sure of that. I don't mean the top alone makes them look street-wise and wenchy, but this whole look is inappropriate for young girls.
This style says,"I was in bed with my boyfriend, and his mom came home early, so I just grabbed the first thing I could wear to cover up." His pants, her underwear. Nice fashion statement if you're ever caught in the act.
