From today's reading (from the WA COA, arising from the Sodexho-IBU CBA): "IBU complained to the MEC that WSF was committing unfair labor practice. WSF responded in part that the MEC lacked "jurisdiction" because the "members of the affected bargaining unit...are not 'ferry employees' within the meaning of RCW47.64.011(5)." The MEC took jursdiction and upheld IBU's complaint. The MEC then ordered WSF to rescind the RFP and include the language in any other RFP, unless WSF and IBU bargained in good faith to the contrary. WSF appealed."
On our way home from Florida/Alabama, we wandered through Louisiana. First we drove through New Orleans and then all the way up the middle to Shreveport. About half way through, we stopped to look at some alligators in the swamps and marshes.
At first, it didn't look like much.
But then they heard we were there. I like to call this one "Alligator Soup" but I think they were thinking about some "Human Soup" themselves. Don't you?
Um, yeah.
Here are a few of our favorite marsh alligators.
Spencer can make friends with most any kind of animal.
Colin wasn't so lucky.
p.s. You can always click on a photo for a better view. I recommend it for this set especially!
I'm a bit behind, but I just learned how to download my digital photos from my new camera. Yes, heretofor I have been a 35 mm girl, but my mom bought me a digital camera. And I LOVE IT!! So, in August we traveled to Gulf Shores and Pensacola for a vacation. Here's a recap:
This is Pensacola Beach from the roadway at 6:30 in the morning.
Colin and the Sea.
Wave jumping!
I was actually trying to get dolphins in this photo. They were VERY close. I got good video, but I haven't learned about downloading that just yet!
These are some of the seashells I collected while snorkeling! Pretty good, no?
